Ducks are hardy, funny and wonderful foragers, but they love water and make plenty of mess with it. A dry shelter, a pond or tub that's easy to drain, a fountain or waterer they can dip their whole bill into, and shade and cooling for hot Southern summers make keeping them a joy rather than a puddle.
